In maven-release-manager, the plexus-utils `StringUtils` calls whose commons-lang3 or JDK counterparts behave the same move to those (`isEmpty`, `isNotEmpty`, `replace`, `split`, `right`, `leftPad`, `isNumeric` behind a non-empty check, and `String.join`). Calls that differ stay: `isNumeric` in `DefaultVersionInfo.getNextVersion` (plexus returns `true` for an empty string), and the `FileUtils` and `IOUtil` helpers. 769 tests before and after.
