`brew install mvndaemon/homebrew-mvnd/mvnd` works on both my Mac Studio (M1
Ultra) and MacBook Pro (M1 Max) for Java 9 and greater.
Unfortunately, Java 8 (Temurin Open JDK) fails with the following:
