adding some methods does not break too much: in fact, we don't have choice.
Let's try and we'll see.
I had a look (I don't know the pdf parts): looks like there is a DocumentModel
already there to enhance

. Looks a good place to add info, since it won't affect every Sink, and is
quite natural
