All my files under version conrol need to be UTF-8 encoded. Whenever I create a new Eclipse workspace, I have to manually switch the encoding from platform default to UTF-8. Since I generate all Eclipse project files using the Maven Eclipse plugin already, I could use this functionality to work around the real problem (that Eclipse won't let me override the default for new workspaces).
