What about this now? This has been closed as fixed, but if I understand
correctly the only thing being fixed is that URLs now leads to an IAE instead
of silently falling back to internal. What about the still valid use case of
allowing a user to use a remote catalog without forcing him to meddle around
with the {{settings.xml}}?
Also I am wondering how it is possible to support multiple archetype
repositories (because they all must have the same {{id}} (archetype)).
