I don't think it's a good idea to trade in a large chunk of usability for a
perceived increase of "purity" (an ambiguous, vague quality at best).
When making such a change, please provide sound reasoning in terms of commonly
accepted software qualities (maintainability, efficiency, reliability,
usability, etc.), and provide an alternative that is at least as good in terms
of usability.
