Eugene Kuleshov commented on MNGECLIPSE-135:
--------------------------------------------

We don't have any code for asking user and password in the plugin. Can you
attach a screenshot of that dialog you getting?

I suspect that eclipse register own java.net.Authenticator that handle all the
passwords and embedder just don't know anything about it...

Anyways, since we don't have any repository with auth and can't easily
reproduce it will be really low priority. unless somebody will investigate it
and provide patches.

> "Password Required" dialog requires user/password to be re-enter for each
> project

> Have an internal Maven repository that I use https to connect to.
> I have multi-module Maven project and hence a project in Eclipse for each
> module - with dependencies between them.
> When I start up Eclipse I am kindly asked for the username and password. But,
> not once. It is requested for each project even do the site ("Connect to") is
> the same for all projects.
> It would be nice if the m2eclipse plugin could somewhat remember this without
> the need for me to reenter it for each project. Perhaps even an option to
> "Remember this login information.".
> I originally filed this enhancement request towards Eclipse Platform
> (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=145999) as I thought it was
> included in the platform, but according to the Eclipse guys this is a Maven
> issue.
