I was working on accelerating knn using the Vector API when I encountered anomalous results during benchmarking. I subsequently examined the C2 logs using `-XX:+PrintIntrinsics` and found errors such as "missing constant ... etype_to=Phi" and "VectorSupport::convert ... failed to inline (intrinsic)." Then my AI agent revealed that two methods shared the same method body, using `signed ?
