@mkierus This issue make sense to me. In`ReqExclBulkScorer` , we use the`MUST_NOT` clause to drive document advance. However, due to an incorrect cost, the`MUST_NOT` clause currently selects doc_values to drive iteration instead of `BKD points`. We may want to restore the Lucene 9.x behavior. If you do not plan to address this issue, I would be happy to work on a fix. If you do plan to fix it, I would also be glad to review the PR. Separately, I have recently been working on optimizing`ReqExclBulkScorer` #16669 .
