InfoStream logs are super helpful for debugging indexing issues using [segment tracing](https://githubsearch.mikemccandless.com/long-segments.html). > To me it looks like we are hunting ghosts. I think this is likely. Another couple datapoints and no change. But it's so annoying for a ghost to decide to appear RIGHT THEN when we merge `GroupVarInt`. Who knows, it could be something crazy like `GroupVarInt` made merging faster, so this massive backlog of merges finished faster and kicked off further / harder merges, tweaking CPU/IO on the threads doing indexing. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
