Yeah, it does work - the difference is strikingly huge. It was a great idea, I wouldn't have thought forking those background JVMs would have such a big impact. Makes me think if we should apply the same to other things (we fork javadoc, I think). Also, ecj seems a lot faster than javac... maybe it could be an option to tune... but it's a complex setup so definitely for later. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
