Sorry but I totally disagree, this is the most typical API for a geo application so if someone else struggle with it then it should not be developing a geo application. Anyway I don't care about those methods so I have added them if it makes the PR moves forward. -1 for removing newGeometryQuery(), this allows to use LatLonShape and LatLonPoint under a common API.
