FYI, after I was able to run tests in a more convenient way, I figured out that some tests fail from time to time because of using `HandleTrackingFS`. I disabled all custom filesystems in the PR, but it looks like some tests use `HandleTrackingFS`. I forgot to mention this in my description above: MMapDirectory no longer works with custom java.nio.filesystem.FileSystem, as it tries to cast the FileChannel internally (see JDK issue: https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8259028).
