Thanks for chiming in, [~gezapeti]. So far, [~atris] and you have expressed
interest in supporting the efforts towards a packaged version of HDFS support.
I offer my full co-operation towards that effort. As a first step, we need to
identify the gaps in the current package manager that we need to plug in.
It would be great if Cloudera can manage the package going forward. I'm +1 to
defer removal from 9.0 until package manager based HDFS support looks possible.
