[~mikemccand] - tested it, seems to fix the corner case, I'm not sure if there 
is some other undesirable behavior that pops up from removing this though. 
Maybe it's better to keep the {{maxEdits == 0}} part of the check and still 
allow SingleTermEnum to exist here. Put up a PR with [~mharwood]'s original 
test and the new change.
