Cassandra Targett commented on SOLR-14388: ------------------------------------------ Note there is already a page on how to migrate from Rules to a policy (migrate-to-policy-rule.adoc) but no one has yet bothered to note in the docs on Rules that it is deprecated, nor actually yet deprecated them AFAICT from SOLR-12740. So, removing the docs pretty much depends on the deprecation actually happening first, and then it should really only happen once the Rules are really removed. Since both of those things need to happen first, we don't really need this issue. The deprecation note should be added to the docs when the feature is deprecated in code (SOLR-12740) & docs should be removed as part of removing the code (SOLR-12741). > Remove references to rule-based replica placement in the ref guide > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Key: SOLR-14388 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-14388 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Improvement > Security Level: Public(Default Security Level.
