Two data points for open items: - Module split (#696): for a `package main` importing only `catalog/rest` on b354505, `go list -m all` has 199 modules, of which 45 provide linked packages. The 48 cloud, database and Hive modules in the graph are not linked, so the split would not change what a REST consumer links; it would take those modules out of its version selection. - Section 2 candidate: the SQL catalog's nested-namespace listing and drop differ from Java's `JdbcCatalog` (#2388).
