I'm also evaluating other catalogs; I recently tried using Hive as a metastore, but the implementation is quite cumbersome. I also recently looked into how Polars is doing. Which catalog do you think would be the best option? (Compatibility with PyIceberg is important because we have many small-table ETLs that don't justify setting up a Spark cluster on EMR.)
