@amogh-jahagirdar @stevenzwu what obstacles do you see with client
generating a UUIDv7. And if clients cannot generate UUIDv7, what about clients
which cannot generate a valid UUID as well?
For me the main value is having a unique identifier which includes a time
component so that catalog servers can take advantage of this requirement. If
the requirement is moot, then I'm not even sure there's a point of requiring a
UUID (and the only set of requiremements is probably around globally unique key
and a set of allowed characters for the key)
