Is there a benefit to not passing the expected metadata location when using hive locks? Is it just performance? If people are using an HMS with `HIVE-26882` backported + Hive Locks, the issue should be fixed by passing the expected metadata location as well. As it stands, it affects all HMS versions while Hive Locks, when it could be just a subset of old ones IIUC? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
