The use cases are increasing as `rewriteTablePath` was out with the release 1.8. People will need a tool to validate before they feel confident that the migration is done. As an enthusiastic user of the new rewriteTablePath, I would find this use case compelling. I didn't actually realize that was within the scope of this PR since the name implies a focus on "repair".
