@Fokko I agree, all depends by how strict we take `The LICENSE and NOTICE files must exactly represent the contents of the distribution they reside in`. In a binary distribution, I would prefer to have `LICENSE` and `NOTICE` informing me about the content, especially the bundled part (the code copied from is less important there compared to source artifact, as we are in a binary artifact). Personally, for api/common/core, I would prefer an "empty" (e.g. default) `LICENSE` and `NOTICE` without all the details where the code has been inspired/copied from.
