Now that we have landed the models for content files in the REST spec, we can return to making the changes to enable appends through fine grained metadata commits on Iceberg tables. Currently as a part of the POC in #9292 we are passing these changes through the metadata update API as a way to tell the server we need to append a file to the metadata.
