kgeisz opened a new pull request, #8770: URL: https://github.com/apache/hbase/pull/8770
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-30478 This pull request fixes two issues where artifacts from a Read-Replica Jenkins run could not be cleaned up due to a permission issue. 1. The Python tests save HBase logs for each test run. After the tests, the `dev-support/read-replica/Jenkinsfile` tries to remove the `OUTPUT_DIR` containing these logs. These logs are owned by the `root` user rather than the `jenkins` user, so the removal of these files fails due to permission issues. This PR gives these files `777` permissions so they can be removed by the stage in Jenkinsfile. 2. If a Read-Replica Jenkins test run succeeds, then there are left over artifacts owned by `root`. Subsequent runs try to delete the `component` directory in the Jenkins workspace (i.e. the hbase repo used in the previous run). These subsequent runs fail almost immediately due to permission issues. This happens when the Jenkins pipeline has `Wipe out repository & force clone` enabled. The changes in the PR adds the removal of these `root`-owned artifacts to the `cleanup()` function in `run_read_replica_integration_tests.sh`. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
