   [nitpick] The TTL expiration check is duplicated in multiple classes. 
Consider extracting a shared helper method to centralize this logic and reduce 
code duplication.

   Catching all `Exception` and only rethrowing `SnapshotTTLExpiredException` 
will silently swallow other errors. Use `assertThrows` or rethrow unexpected 
exceptions to avoid false positives.
