What problem does it solve? --> <!-- If it fixes an open issue, please link to the issue here. --> Should close https://github.com/apache/cordova-ios/issues/686 ### Description <!-- Describe your changes in detail --> `cordova build ios --emulator` was trying to build for a specific simulator device (either provided with `--target` or falling back to a default simulator). This routinely caused problems for people when it decided to default to an old iOS runtime, or the wrong device type.
