If you're still having problems with the 0.7.6 version, is the app giving you any error messages (e.g. on the Default Map page you may see "Default Map Not Found" or "Error: Unable to connect to InterMapper Server"; on other pages you may see a red bar at the top with an error message)?
Otherwise, there is a log file which may help track down the problem at $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/InterMapper/local/imAppLog.log (where $SPLUNK_HOME is the directory you installed Splunk to).
