Oh crap. Well, at some point during my numerous 'make clean', 'pkg_delete', 
'rm -rf /usr/local/etc/sasldb* /var/imap /var/spool/imap' cycles I forgot 
to recreate the maibox when I started working with pwcheck_pam.

And now I'll run back into a corner looking to avoid the glares..

But it really wasn't working before I tried pwcheck_pam, honest! :)
