It *shouldn't* care.  It's is probably (incorrectly) determining that
the message wasn't sent directly to you, ie, one of your :addresses in
the TO/CC/BCC headers.  Are internal people using unqualified email
address like "amodeo"?  You might want to check the header of a message
that should have received a reply and make sure that the recipient
address is in the list of :addresses.
