All,
firstly thanks for the help so far.

I now have Cyrus running. I had to install sasl --with-pwcheck in the end
then build Cyrus, then run pwcheck as root in the background, then run
master as root in the background.

Then I compiled cyradm seperately and installed it (the main install didn't
seem to have worked correctly).

I set up the cyrus user with a password and added it to the admins: line
in the config.

I can now log in as cyrus and administer things. I've created a mailbox
for a user and can look at it, and create/delete sub folders, from outlook
express even!

A few more questions ;-)

Does Cyrus only let users create mailboxes under their inbox? If not, can
anyone
tell me how you get around this. Other IMAP servers allow several top-level
folders, although Cyrus's ability to have subfolders is one up on UW IMAP on
UNIX.

Has anyone put this version of Cyrus (2.0.16) on a server and got it talking
to exim?
I've seen the short info on exim in the FAQ, but it's for 1.5.x codebase and
things
have come a long way since then aparently.

Again, thanks for all the help so far. Now I'm going to try importing some
mailboxes!

Cheers, Jim.
