Hi,
I've got cyrus-sasl 1.5.24 running on a Redhat 6.1 machine, with
BerkeleyDB 3.2. Cyrus imapd 2.0.12 is working well with it and saslpasswd
authentication is functioning. I can browse mailboxes, etc.
But, when I run the cyrus-sasl testsuite I get:
NOTE:
-For KERBEROS_V4 must be able to read srvtab file (usually /etc/srvtab)
-For GSSAPI must be able to read srvtab (? /etc/krb5.keytab ? )
-Must be able to read and write to sasldb.
Created id's in sasldb... ok
Checking plaintext passwords... ok
Random number functions... ok
Tested base64 functions... ok
Tests of sasl_server_init()... ok
mechanism string =
Mechs left = -1
Failed with: Number of mechs received doesn't match what we were told
and when I run the sample-server I get:
Generating client mechanism list...
Sending list of 0 mechanism(s)
S:
Waiting for client mechanism...
This is preventing me from using Cyrus imapd timsieved or other sasl
mechanisms. On another machine I have the same combination (although this
is Redhat 7 and Berkeley DB 3.1) and all is well (I get several
mechanisms). I've verified that 'configure' is giving the same output on
both machines for cyrus-sasl.
I had a previous version of sasl (1.5.15) installed on this machine before
installing 1.5.24, but I'm pretty certain I've removed all the old files.
Please can anyone suggest what might be wrong? I've tried everything I
can think of, but to no avail.
Best Regards,
Tom.
