Quota is not asked for that many time so I cant see the problem.
I thought the idea od putting all the metadata in LDAP was strange
and would be slow because of the number of accesses but quota should
be ok. Unless cyrus polls the quota size all the time. Umm actully
deliver must add to the quota as well everytime there is an email ? 
so might be intensive one way to find out try it.

A perl program is how I did it in the past ( no I dont
have ;) Its was proprietory code so copyrighted by some company)
