Regarding the issue of Virtual domains, has some one any challenges
to use the "realm" concept of SASL as a workaround?

I was wondering if v1.6 or v2.0 or Cyrus support virtual domain. If so,
do each domain must have their own unique IP?
There are few IMAP that support virtual domain by using IP alias or
embed @domain.com to the username. I was wondering if Cyrus can do
the same?
Or is it just straight IMAP like wu-ftpd!
