I deleted the previous line and then tried combining its contents, "exact:1 synonyms:0.5 endings:0.1", with the substring factor, then tried just "exact:1" and the substring factor, and then tried just the substring factor, all to no avail. > Did you try 0.5 rather than .5? The line from htdig-substring.conf is search_algorithm: substring:0.5 The line from the page which calls htsearch differs from the version I've been using without substring searching in that name="config" value="htdig-substring" is in it. Yet I get the same results.
