Using the CUPS web interface (localhost:631), the printers are visible

ready to go (the LJ5 has three definitions on the same socket:
laser5_duplex, laser5_single, and lj5). But, when running hp-toolbox, it
finds only the color printer, even when the IP address of the laser
printer
is supplied.
How do I go about making these visible to HPLIP-1.7.4a or HPIJS-2.7.4
(which is also installed, along with HPIJS-2.1.4), and get duplex printing
once again?
