Running Slackware-11.0 here with two networked printers: a LaserJet 5 (duplexer, jet-direct card, PostScript module, 12M RAM) and a Professional Series 2500C (jet-direct card).
Followed the instructions for installing under -10.2, and everything works ... except that the LJ5 will not print duplex. Using the CUPS web interface (localhost:631), the printers are visible and ready to go (the LJ5 has three definitions on the same socket: laser5_duplex, laser5_single, and lj5). But, when running hp-toolbox, it finds only the color printer, even when the IP address of the laser printer is supplied. How do I go about making these visible to HPLIP-1.7.4a or HPIJS-2.7.4 (which is also installed, along with HPIJS-2.1.4), and get duplex printing once again? TIA, Rich -- Richard B.
