Hi,
thanks for valuable hints.

I'm not sure, wheather I understand you. I can add this printer to CUPS
via it's web interface with this settings:
Description: HP DeskJet 920c
Location:
Make and Model: HP DeskJet 920C Foomatic/hpijs (recommended) - HPLIP 1.6.10
Printer State: idle, accepting jobs, published.
Device URI: socket://glottis:9100
and I can use it in my KDE pretty well, printing works great, I only
don't have "extended" features of hp utilities.

Bi-di was not set, so I tried it, but it didn't help. Now the command
used to start p910 is:
p910nd -b -f /dev/usb/lp0 0
I don't know, what -b exactly does, maybe I should consult this with
p910nd people (although I'm not sure, who they are and how are they
connected with etherboot). I only find this in release notes:
"Version 0.7 supports bidirectional copying, activated with the -b
option, useful for getting status from printers."
(btw I have version 0.7 although 0.9 is available)

A few notes at the end. p910nd is running at Asus wl500gx "embedded"
router, that's why I can't use CUPS or anything better directly where
the printer is connected.

When I moved my printer to one of my desktops everything with HPLIP was ok.

Basicaly everything I really need works. I would just like to have the
same comfort in Linux as I have in Windows.

Do someone have any other ideas? And thanks for advices given so far.
