Malcolm-

The best way to help us fix this is to send us the output of:

$ hp-info

and then also provide your estimate of the actual ink levels when you feel
they are inaccurate.

Thanks,

Don

Hello,

I have an HP PSC 1210 connected to my computer running Ubuntu 6.10
(Edgy Eft) using the HPLIP driver.

When I run hp-levels, it tells me that I still have 60% of my black
ink left, and 0% (Very low) of my colour ink left. However, when I
print, either none of the content in black prints, or the content in
black is printed in pink.

I decided to change my black ink cartridge. After doing this,
hp-levels reports that I have 100% of my black ink left, which is
good.

But still, it seems that most of the time, the ink levels reported by
hp-levels are off. When my black ink cartridge had no ink left,
hp-levels reported that I had 60% of black ink left; and when I still
have quite a bit of colour ink left (it seems), hp-levels reported
that I had 0% of colour ink left. Is there a way to fix this problem
so that I can more easily predict when I need to buy new cartridges?

Thanks,
Malcolm Lalkaka
