Well, after talking to some other engineers here at HP, I am much less
certain about this idea. It is maybe theoretically possible _if_ (and that's
a HUGE if) the M1005 uses scanning, I/O, and other protocols that are
compatible with HPLIP. One engineer thinks that this is most likely NOT the
case.
So, sorry if I steered you wrong. I think the only thing that is reasonable
to expect is the printing support that is possibly available with the 3rd
party driver. We still hope to support this printer more fully in the
future.
