You should (theoretically) be able to use HPLIP along with the foo2zjs
driver. This is completely unsupported, but it should be possible. You would
have to create an entry in models.dat that has the correct values, use a hp:
URI, and have HPLIP daemons running.

Thanks Aaron, under Gentoo setting up the M1005 MFP
net-print/foo2zjs-20070204
driver is pretty fast. Thanks for your hint, I never figured out to use
that driver.
No news about the scanner part of the M1005 MFP system ?
