You can "urpmi gcc-c++ cups cups-devel python-devel PyQt net-snmp-mib net-snmp-devel libjpeg-devel xsane" and it doesn't ever stop? Did you configure your system with easyurpmi?
or are you running the hplip installer? If so did you use easyurpmi? Sounds like the system is having a hard time getting the dependencies... Hope this helps.
