The clean install sorted out the dependency problems I had trying to install 1.6.10 from source. This time, everything went smoothly, and the ADF is now working properly! The only minor note is that I have two queues reported, although I only have one printer: Num. CUPS printer (queue) ---- ------------------------ 0 OfficeJet-5500 1 officejet_5500 Any idea what the score is here? Jeff
