RIP on the sub FWIW I use headphones for games and basically hardly ever use the speakers. Mine are old, think 4.1 even. >:-o Doing that 2 channel ought to be fine. Headphone are great, sound is fantastic and doesn't bother the family 8-) ( if sleeping or watching TV )
Mine are USB.
