So I use dfu-util (from package dfu-util v 0.7 r 4.fc21) to load the
firmware image to RAM as you instructed:
[bernard@juglans-nigra HACKRF]$ hackrf_info
Found HackRF board.
Board ID Number: 2 (HackRF One)
Firmware Version: 2014.08.1
But when I reset the board, I'm back to the old firmware, even if I
try to
write the firmware image to SPI flash with the hackrf_spiflash
utility
before the reset as instructed in the wiki.
It sounds like your board is working but the write to the SPI flash
is failing.
When you used DFU mode to load the 2014.08.1 firmware in to RAM, did
you try to use the board with GNU Radio or any other software? i.e.
can you confirm that the board is working as expected?
Thanks,
Dominic
I can confirm that in DFU mode with the 2014.08.1 firmware loaded and
without a reset, I'm able to use the board (tested with GQRX &
hackrf_transfer) and the new firmware works as expected, ie the IF
spectrum is not inverted (tested in FM band).
Thanks,
Bernard
