I've always found this blog fascinating, even though it hasn't been a lot of costume content. (Okay, I'm always interested to see what metal belt findings they fish out of the Thames, but that's a small percentage of the posting.) A few weeks ago, they posted about an acrobatic costume, and discussed the history of Victorian acrobat and sideshow performances.
Today, this was in my feed reader: http://www.mymuseumoflondon.org.uk/blogs/blog/acrobatic-mystery-continued/ Close ups of metal paillettes! Gold lace closeup so close you can see the bullion and strips of filling metal! And what about that textile? It's like halfway between serge and jersey! Too good not to share. :) -Laura _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list h-costume@mail.indra.com http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
