A lady where i work upgraded her serger and let me have hers complete with goodies boxes and instruction video! I am in the process of catching up my gift sewing. Im are someone an xmas dread with 2 jackets , 1 for church one for nutty years eve and now i get to make xmas presents then , starting next week , i will make sone stuff just for me!!! This year, I got no costume-related presents whatsoever. But I bought myself Margareta Gleba's "Textile Production in Pre-Roman Italy" (DBBC had, and may still have, it on sale cheap! Check it out!) so I'm content. I *did* get three books on food history! Spirit of the Harvest, which is a book of reconstructed North American Indian recipes, "The Pharoah's Kitchen," about food in ancient Egypt and Nubia, and "Meals and Recipes from Ancient Greece." Quality and accuracy to be assessed as I read them.
