Oh, and I got a $15 JoAnn's gift card from a co-worker, which I think I need to use for something totally frivolous and just for me!

This year, I got no costume-related presents whatsoever. But I bought yself Margareta Gleba's "Textile Production in Pre-Roman Italy" (DBBC ad, and may still have, it on sale cheap! Check it out!) so I'm content. I *did* get three books on food history! Spirit of the Harvest, which is book of reconstructed North American Indian recipes, "The Pharoah's itchen," about food in ancient Egypt and Nubia, and "Meals and Recipes rom Ancient Greece." Quality and accuracy to be assessed as I read them. I did not know about "The Queen's Servants" though I enjoyed "The King's ervants" and will probably add it to my list of books to get--thanks imiko! - athy Raymond a...@thyrsus.com "Beware how you take away hope from another human being." -Oliver Wendell Holmes ______________________________________________ -costume mailing list -cost...@mail.indra.com ttp://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list h-costume@mail.indra.com http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
