[I seem to accidentally have deleted the original message from Bernd in the queue, so I'm re-sending it.]
the functions install-prefix-man and un... in Makefile.am look like
having the suitable naming scheme. but these are only commented in
Makefile. removing the comments does not make install the man pages
in the right naming. so something seems to be wrong in automake.
