Oy! I had already highlighted the topic warning on the gossip subscription page. I've now updated the FAQ as well with Earl's excellent text. That's pretty much it; I've exhausted all my ideas for maximizing signal to noise ratio for gossip.
Wait, that's not true, I recently learned python.
