I applied this translation and it is not working very well -- see
http://www.mail-archive.com/ateitis@konferencijos.lt/index.html. I
think the problem is MhonArc does not deal very well with certain
character values in its configuration files (i.e. values that fall
out of the ASCII printable range).

For example s/__Search__/Paie..ka/g has hexadecimal values Ox81 0xb9
where I drew periods. (Which I'm sure map to perfectly fine characters
in the iso-8859-4 character set.) What I think you need to do is take
those values MHonArc is barfing on and put in something more
digestable. Specifically, ISO 10646 numerical character references.
You can read about them here:

   http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/charset.html#h-5.3.1

Do this, give me new translation, and I think the Lithuanian
localization will work fine. We had exactly this problem recently with
Chinese -- and if anyone knows a reasonable automated way to
accomplish this task, speak up. I now have a couple of "dangerous"
translations that really could use conversion to ISO 10646 numerical
character references.

That feature is only active in one list out of the thousands
mail-archive hosts. I decided that I didn't really want to unleash it
on the masses. :)
